Yio Chu Kang Secondary School offers a vibrant range of performing arts CCAs spanning music, dance, and theatre. Students in these CCAs undergo systematic training, performance opportunities at school and national events, and entry pathways through Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec).

• Concert Band: Students learn brass, woodwind, or percussion instruments, building ensemble performance skills and music theory foundation.

• Choir: Focuses on vocal technique, multi-part harmony, and choral repertoire across various musical styles.

• Dance Groups (Ethnic & Cultural):

  • Chinese Dance: Blends traditional technique with modern choreography, emphasizing discipline and expression.

  • Malay Dance: Combines traditional Malay grace (tari) with contemporary choreography.

  • Indian Dance: Focuses on rhythmic footwork, facial expression (* अभिनय / abhinaya *), and traditional body postures.

• English Drama Club: Covers acting, stagecraft, scriptwriting, prop making, set/lighting design, and stage management.
